Bakhtiyary's area have the long antecedent in carpet weaving .More than 50 percents of Bakhtiyaries products are in carpet weaving; and have 80000 weavers.
brightness of this craft is comes from Safavie's dynasty but the famous Bakhtiyary carpet's designers are from Quajar dynasty and Pahlavies, such as Ahmad-e- nasr-e- chloshtory.

Bakhtiyarie's dyeing is in two category:

1. domestic Traditional
   In this style they use Rubia-tinctorum, Juglens-regia, Alum,Vine leaf.
2. working places traditional
   In this style they use Vat colors from nile groups and it gives these colors:
   Glazed, Light blue,Dark blue, Light green, Dark green.

In this area dyeing is all in natural style.

Bakhtiyary carpet's weave is most on vertical looms and some where (in large size carpets) is on horizontal looms, and these are with Turkish knot on two warps,warps are thick and these carpets are weave with separate selvedge.
Single wefts carpets in this area are called Bibibaf.

In Bakhtiyary areas Chaloshtor, Ghahferokh(Farokhshahr), Saman, Shalamzar,Babaheydar are famed in this idustry.
There are different patterns in these areas such as:

1. Kheshti(Diamond)
   This pattern is must using in Ghahferokh. This is inspiration from Chinese patterns.Brick that is at center the carpet is special and the others bricks are the same.Usually In this bricks geometrical designs are useing; and also Cypress tree's design is useing in these bricks which at various areas is in different pattern mode.
   The famous Diamond Bakhtiyary carpet's producer is Chaloshtor area.
2. Ghabi or Sarv-o-kaj(multiple-panel design)
   In this design almost useing flying and trees.
   
3. Ghab samavari(Samovar multiple-panel design)
   This is in same mode of Ghabi but in this design they used flowers
4. Goldani(Vase design)
   Is in two part:one of them is Plain weave design and the other is Full vase design; these are weaving in all of Bakhtiyary areas, but neither of them isn't same.
   
5. Corner-Medallion
   This is inspirationfrom Isfahan designs; most of them hasn't any eslimi design in their Medallion. Most of its area medallion's colors are White, Red, Dark blue.
